About Michael Herring
I grew up in Joliet, IL and Des Moines, IA, USA.
I graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute with a BFA in illustration and design in 2000.
After graduation, I worked in New York for 2 years as a graphic designer and illustrator for Pamlyn Smith Design and Website Manager for Americans for the Arts.
Then I moved to Iowa City, IA, where I worked as a web designer at the University of Iowa College of Public Health and really began focusing on web standards, usability, accessibility, and CSS.
I'm currently working as an interface designer at Geonetric in Cedar Rapids, IA, where I:
- Build CSS/XHTML templates
- Direct accessibility in a .NET environment
